Most people have a difficult time scheduling workout sessions into their busy lives. Student-athletes are especially pressed for time because of educational, athletic, and social demands placed on them. To achieve maximum benefit in the least amount of time athletes can utilize a form of training called cardio-strength. This type of workout is high-paced, high-repetition, light weights, and intense cardio. This will provide athletes with strength training and cardiovascular training simultaneously. Many popular workout videos are based on this concept such as p90X, insanity, and Netfit.tv. This type of training is also beneficial to busy adults and working professionals.
